Our client is willing to train a mechanically inclined individual to repair and maintain a variety of appliances. Pay range starts from $15 per hour DOE. This is a full time, long term opportunity with great hours. They work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm- no nights and no weekends!As a shop technician, you will be examining, diagnosing, breaking down and repairing common kitchen and laundry appliances, the things we take for granted every day. From customer machines that are brought in as well as the appliances we refurbish to sell, there is never a shortage of challenges. Learning hard and learning fast will help you excel in a field where there are no manufacturing similarities between brands other than basic function.A good shop tech will be able to:Quickly identify problems with various machines, including ranges, refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and microwavesRepair or replace faulty partsExamine and read electrical schematics to test components for a range of issuesAssist in the loading and unloading of customer repaired or purchased machinesTrain to fix appliancesRecycle parts of appliancesHelp technicians at in house visitsProvide clients with excellent customer serviceRequirements:Valid Driver's LicenseClean driving record and criminal background checkMechanical aptitudeWillingness to learnAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy appliancesSpending time in our shop is the best way to familiarize yourself with these appliances and has the added bonus of being able to take one of our service vans in the future where the earning potential is limited only by your drive to succeed.EPA Class 1 Refrigeration certification recommended but not required.Must have a clear driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.If you're ready to start your new career, apply with Express Employment today!
